Corporate Social Responsibility

The Alfred Mizzi Foundation was set up in 2003 where the overall objective was the promotion, diffusion and safeguarding of the Maltese culture, its heritage, education, the environment and social solidarity. The foundation also encourages research projects, assists Maltese talent as well as just causes and religious bodies requiring social solidarity.

Sustainability

As a group company we have made a concious effort to be more environmentally sustainable. We have started initiatives for the removal of single-plastic use in all offices with the introduction of the reverse osmosis, providing employees with steel bottles as well as switching to glass or cardboard alternatives for everyday usage. We also introduced additional labelled waste bins to achieve the nation-wide behavioural change in the Maltese community in line with the waste seperation process. The group also supports sustainability via The Alfred Mizzi Foundation which donates funds to NGOs such as BirdLife Malta and Din l-Art Ħelwa.

Gender Equality

We strive to have an equal base and opportunity for all roles across the group, reducing gender discrimination and focusing on having an equal playing field for all. We commit to transparency and objectivity in compensation as well as implement leave and flexible work policies to give our employees the opportunity to take care of themselves and their families. We also take sexual harassment as a serious issue within the group. We have implemented policies and practicies that forster regular feedback related to harassment from employees and strictly prohibit harassment in any form.
